Our Services

Break’s core business is the provision of children’s homes for Looked After Children in their home Local Authority. As at 2013 Break had seven mainstream children’s homes in Norfolk and Cambridgeshire and a Therapeutic Fostering Service offering single placements to traumatised young people.

Young people leaving Break’s care continue to be supported by the charity via our in-house Moving OnTeam.

In addition to the mainstream homes Break also has a children’s home for young people with profound learning and physical disabilities and two short break schemes for children with disabilities.

Break also provide a range of assessment and support services to children at risk via our Residential Family Centre in Lowestoft and a range of community based services, including assessment work, across East Anglia.

Families' House joined Break in October 2012 and is based in Norwich. In particular, Families' House provides services to support and assist separating parents and additional support and guidance to parents who are struggling with the parenting task; ensuring that the children's needs remain paramount.
