Break's Christmas Appeal

Dear Santa

This has been a big year for me – last year I was doing my GCSE’s and this year I’m the mother of a beautiful baby girl. I have found some things more difficult than I thought they were going to be – I got in a muddle with my money and me and my boyfriend stopped getting on. There has been so much that I have had to learn – when I moved into my flat with my daughter it was the first time I had lived alone. I didn’t know how to get the gas or electric switched on, or how to manage my money and it was the first time that I had been alone at night. With so many things causing me stress I have started to worry whether I am being a good mum. I want to make sure that I am getting it right for me and my daughter, and that me and her father can sort things out.

Amanda, 17 years old

Break is there for teenage parents like Amanda with much needed help and support. We do all we can to help young families overcome some of the difficulties they face and guide them in to becoming good parents.
